Frequently asked questions

Does a high AI score prove cheating?

No. Scores are probabilistic signals based on writing style. They support human review; they do not replace it. Your instructor or integrity office must consider drafts, context, and course rules.

Why is my score shown as *% or suppressed?

Low scores are less reliable. We mask or suppress exact percentages below 20% to avoid over-interpretation. A green low-score card means no strong AI-writing signals were found in scored prose.

What are highlighted passages?

Passages with elevated segment scores. Click a flagged passage to open the explanation panel for style signals and revision tips, or read the PDF excerpt list for details.

What is AI paraphrase risk?

An estimate that AI-like structure remains after paraphrasing tools swapped wording. It appears only when confidence is sufficient; otherwise the report states 'Not confidently detected.'

Can I delete my data?

Yes. Delete analyses and reports from your account at any time. Share links stop working when the underlying analysis is deleted.

What does the training consent checkbox do?

If you opt in, that specific document may be used in anonymized form to improve detection. It is unchecked by default and never required for scoring.

Which file types are supported?

Paste, PDF, DOCX, and TXT uploads are supported for scoring. Use submitted-content-only PDF mode for Turnitin exports and slide-deck PDFs.
